Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and I have joined to get some assistance.
Actually I've been running now for about 3 months.
This problem is what I faced when I had given up on running for about two weeks.
Then I restarted my running routine, not exactly the same as the previous one, this time I started with a much lesser distance and gradually increasing it to the optimal point.
At first my hamstring tendon started to hurt. I gave myself some break (nearly 1 week)
After that I resume my running routine, the pain was there but it was bearable, so I continued.
The pain soon went away and I felt that it was over. But ever since my hamstring tendon injury I feel that my right knee has grown weak.
It doesn't hurt but its just a feeling that my right knee isn't as much weight bearing as my left one.
The muscles which have gone weak are hamstring tendon, patellar, lateral patellar retinaculum.

Is it ok? Will it go with time or should I consult a doctor.
What about my running routine. Should I take a break for some time? If yes then for how long?
Please let me know If this will heal on its own or will get worse with time.
Can taking more protein in my diet heal this?

Moreover can anyone please recommend a stretch which is appropriate for hamstring tendon.

Awaiting your replies.
Kind regards,
Atherr
