I was kinda trying to figure out how I can reduce my 8 minute mile to 7. I seem to be at a plateau, been running (semi serious)for over 1 year 2-3 times a week. I need a plan. A 75 year old man passed me in a road race last month, that was a nice feeling. Help!

8 minute mile for how many miles? How many miles do you run each week? Do you run about the same pace for all of your running? How much of your running volume is just easy-paced, very comfortable running?

lol a 75 past you?

i have been running a mile a day for a year up until june then i did a few days a week i used to run it in 14 minutes now i can in 7 mins 55 sec was record.

so i kinda am same but i use as warmup im training for 100m but if your focusing on the mile i'd just run a tiny bit faster just a tiny bit i know that i have been stuck at the 8 min for a while but now it depends on your mood and feeling and taking ice bath b4 to increase performance and no shirt to stay from heating up but you just got to keep telling your self the faster you are the less time you spend running but make sure you do jumping jacks before and stretch and take some water not too much cause then it`ll b sloshy but just enought to stay quenched but i do 300 jump jacks cause they're easy and light warmup before the prime warmup 200 paced onces then 100 fast ones hope that helped
