Well i guess if you want to increase your weight you can eat before going to sleep which is bad for your metabolism. And increase your total calorie intake.

Hey Kays you might be taking a balanced diet but first of all there are some questions that are needed to be sorted out. In the first place who confirmed you that the diet you are taking is a balanced one? Did you enquire this from any nutritionist? Second thing is a perfect diet alone cant help you to gain weight you have to take the aid of adequate workouts which will help you achieve your purpose.

For a perfect Diet no foods are banned, but Cruise encourages dieters to pick and choose from specific lists of fruits, veggies, meats, dairy, and preferred fats. He also offers two approaches to meal planning. One is a blueprint that calls for specific numbers of servings from different food groups. For example, lunch includes two to three servings from the meat group (one serving of meat is listed as a slice of bacon, an ounce of buffalo.

Hi, excuse me as I disagree with the term "perfect diet".

What matters is the right diet for you. One that supplies what your body lacks and makes it work on its optimal way.

It is not easy to know precisely what the ideal mix is for each person and if you feel the need to dig deeper into how your metabolism works you should seek help from an endocrinologist or health professional.
I've done it and it really paid out!

There are many examples on how diverse one's metabolism is; take lactose-intolerants. They can't digest milk and its derivatives properly so one food that is highly recommended in a "balanced meal" doesn't do them much good. There are many other less extreme examples and if you cannot gain weight maybe it is your body that is working poorly somehow; not necessarily a matter of how much you eat.
;-)
