Hi All,
I am from Singapore.Last yr I did 2 weekdays runs and long weekends runs averaging from 21 km to 41 km per week as part of my marathon trg with 5 of them more than 30 km.Weekdays runs consists of 2 tempo runs of between 8 to 10 km each.
Will running 6 days a week( including intervals and faster pace long runs )help to reduce my marathon timing ? My time taken last yr was 4.40 hrs.
In Singapore, our climate is hot throughout the year.
Thanks,
Mike

6 days a week with intervals in the heat? That's a lot considering you're trying to improve from 4 hrs 40 minutes. Just follow a novice training schedule and you should be able to get 4 hrs easily in your next marathon. That would be more like 4 to 5 days a week tops. Good luck
