 Post subject: Needed Advice

I am currently 3 weeks out from a marathon (my 3rd) on Sept 17. I was supposed to do 20 miles (which would be my 2nd this training period) yesterday, but my niece was born and I had to go. I feel I am ready since I have run 2 - 18's and 1 - 20 w/out problem and could have kept going.

I have a 5-8-5-12 and a 4-5-4-8 remaining in my training. Should I replace the 12 with an 18 or 20, or forget about it and move on with my training as scheduled.

The Sept 17 marathon is a gear up for Chicago on Oct 22. I have a goal of sub 5 hour. 1st 2 were 5:25 and 5:20 respectively.

Has anyone been in my shoes this close to a race day....Just need some calming advice.

Skip the 20, in my opinion as your effectively into taper, better to turn up fresh than squeeze the missed run in.
