I am running the Hamptons marathon on Sat. It is supposed to rain all day. I have done a few long runs in the rain, but that was summer. It will be significantly cooler on Sat. Any tips for running 3-4 hours in the rain.
Thanks

Use plenty of body glide! Other than that, get wet and ignore it!

Ya, Thanx. Thats the plan. Kind of like running in the rain anyway. Just worried it might be a bit cold with the wind and I'm trying to decide what to wear. Long sleeves vs short sleeves .....

well, if it's cold and rainy then you may want to wear a very light technical running jacket, but I wouldn't do that unless it's less than about 55 degrees.

It rained all right! From beginning to end. I was only cold at the start. The rain presented only two problems. First, part of the course was on a dirt road. You can imagine what this was like between miles 18-20. Second, I ended up with blisters on my feet from running in wet shoes. Completed my second marathon and looking forward to number three. Thanks for the advice.

Well, congratulations! High quality moisture wicking running socks can frequently deal well with getting soaked. It can also be good to use body glide on the feet.
