I am running Boston for the first time this year and running for one of the local charities who sponsor the event (since I am not trying to qualify). This is my first marathon, but I have done 2 halfs and complete in sprint/olympic distance triathlons during the summer. I've kept my fitness up over the winter and am now up to about 9 or 10 miles of very comfortable running, but would say I am really just 'starting' my official training since I am a late entry.
My goal is to just finish and experience this marathon without being concerned with time. And to avoid injury - but hope to at least finish under 5hrs. I will be doing long runs and hill climbs with a training group and have a few training plans to follow but am looking for an advice, feedback, etc you can offer! I'm definitely a little nervous, but wanted to take advantage of opportunity to experience this so decided to go for it. Thanks for your thoughts!!
