Im going to start doing some long distance running, so I bought a new pair of running shoes. Is it okay to use them without the insoles that are inside or is it reccommended that I keep them in? The shoes feel a bit tight with them in right now but Im not sure if I should keep them and let the shoe stretch out abit.

i believe that much of the support of a shoe is actually in the innersole... thats not to say that you shouldnt take it out if they are a little tight, just that is may impact the effectiveness of the shoe and its original design.

Just wear them walking for a day or so and theyll stretch nicely :)

Buying a pair of running shoes is the most important part of your run training. It can lead to confusion, not just because of price and range, but also because of the lack of information that is available from general sports retailers. Although magazine running product tests, or information provided by the running shoe manufacturer, may answer some of your questions, the most important thing to look at is the cushioning, support and stability of the running shoe.

I think you should visit BEST RUNNING SHOES for some consideration, information and some tips on finding the right shoes for you. I hope this helps.
