Hi, im a sophomore in highschool. Im going to get some new spikes for the upcoming summer track season, and for the spring season. I run the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and do LongJump...

I am deciding between the Nike Superfly G5's or the Nike Powercat's. I am looking for a stiff plate (which both have) and the powercat's really appeal to me, but i don't have any experience with riser's.

Can someone give me their opinions/reviews of these spikes, and explain what the pros/cons of risers are?
-Thanks a bunch

I'm sorry I can't help you there, but my advice would be to go with which ever feels better, if you're comfortable in them and feel confident with them that's what you want. Good luck this summer!

Well the local sports stores carry limited supplies for track, the only spikes they have are the nike zoom rivals (pretty much the standard sprint spike) and another spike for long distace. so this means i'll most likely be ordering these spikes, so i won't be able to wear them until they arrive.

I see... well I've heard good things about both those spikes, I would suggest looking at the archives here for information and opinions on each. Good luck.
