Sorry if this is a stupid question. So those little spike studs, like fillers. What are those for? Because one of my pairs of spikes only came with 12 actual spikes, and then 2 of those little duds. I had just been putting it in in the middle spot, but was looking at my spikes and thinking about just gettting some new spikes so i have enough for all 7 of that size. Thanks so much!

I think that some people are sensitive with feeling the middle spike, so the shoe company gives a dud so you have the option of having that spike or not.

At least that's what I've heard.

alright, thanks. I don't think one spike will make that much difference, so i'll just leave them as it is.

Well TitanRunner19.. I say there is a difference because when you're standing on your spikes that middle spike shouldn't be the only spike touching the track. I say put in those duds in. it seems like it's off balance so yeah.. just saying..

I actually ended up using my other set of spikes, 3/8ths I believe... with all 7. I'll admit it did feel odd at first, but I left them in, and am running fine. Better than last year, but that's just natural progression and maturation, not one spike. But thank you for the input!
